Augustana Honor Guard Reunion 2011

The large "Gathering Place" at Our Savior's Lutheran Church pictured
above, will be the site of the Honor Guard Reunion on October 14, 2011.

Our Savior's, Lutheran Church located across West 33rd Street, south of the Augie campus,
has ample, free, off-street parking adjacent to the entrance on the South side of the Church.
The church is completely handicapped accessible and was extensively remodeled in 2009.

See the architectural drawing below for more building details.

The theme of the Honor Guard Reunion will be "Re-Visiting Memories".

The reunion will begin at 9 A.M. with an open un-formated time to move about and meet other
campus-mates and friends who are present.   In 2010 this was one of the most favored events.
Seating at tables will be available for those who desire to be seated.

There will be some PowerPoint and video displays related to Augie at previous points in its history,
as well as some of its present social and academic activities shown at various times during the day.

Note that the Gathering Place has 300 person seating capacity at tables so it is a wonderful and
spacious area to relax in and visit with old friends while enjoying various portions of the program
 being shown around the room.

Coffee, tea, juice, and cookies will be available for refreshment during the morning sessions.
Attendees may wish to have lunch at the Morrison Commons dining room on campus which features
a wide range of food choices at a reasonable cost.

Watch this space for updates on events that may be added in the coming months.

The above architectural drawing of Our Savior's Lutheran Church shows a general view
of the main floor.  Parking is on the South side of the building.  The large blue oval area
will be the Honor Guard Meeting area, known as the "Gathering Place".
