A Warm Welcome to our Augustana College campus mates!

    This site was created following the 50-Year reunion of our Class of 1957.  It is a site where our campus mates may come to rekindle memories of friends from the 1950's and to learn about their lives since graduation.
    If you were at Augie during any of the academic sessions from 1953 through 1957, you were our campus mate and, as such, are an important part of our collective campus memory.
    Please visit our "Autobiographical Sketches" page.  You will find the names of the Class of 1957 members, their Edda photos (they pop up when you point your mouse at a name!) and brief sketches of their lives since leaving campus.  You will also find names of other campus mates who have shared their stories.
    The "50 Years of Change" page, which you are currently viewing, has content which will change periodically.  It currently features two performances by the "A" choir,  directed by Dr. Arnold Running (R.I.P.) with Gerry Christopherson (1957) and Don Vollan (1958) as soloists.
    We hope you will enjoy this site and invite you to come back again.
    We also invite you to share your story with us.  Please let us know of your interest in doing so.

'Ole' by Peter Eric Eide, 1936-2009. RIP             son of 'Polly' Palmer Eide.   Palmer Eide was a Professor of Art and an artist in residence at Augustana in the 1950's.
